Drumshanbo

Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin comes from The Shed Distillery in County Leitrim, the first distillery to operate in that corner of the west of Ireland in over a century. Its signature is gunpowder tea, a slow-dried Chinese green tea, distilled alongside a spread of botanicals that includes Oriental grapefruit and other citrus for lift.The result is a contemporary gin with an East-meets-West slant: juniper still present but framed by bright citrus, floral notes and a gentle tea-driven earthiness. It reads as fresh and aromatic rather than piney and austere, and takes tonic and a slice of grapefruit particularly well. A distinctive modern Irish gin with a genuine sense of place.
