Juicy Californian orange leads, all summery and lively, with cardamom and the fine-tart bite of gunpowder green tea trailing behind the juniper. Made at The Shed Distillery in the lakeside village of Drumshanbo, it folds slow-roasted Chinese tea into a classic Irish bill. Bright, fruity and gently spiced.

Description
Drumshanbo Gunpowder is made at The Shed Distillery in a small village on the shore of Lough Allen in County Leitrim, a place that brought distilling back to the area after a long absence. The house signature is gunpowder tea, a slow-roasted Chinese green tea, set against oriental botanicals. This expression layers in high-quality Californian oranges, giving the familiar spirit a fresh, summery citrus lift.
The nose is bright and citrusy, intense orange over juniper, cardamom and the exotic note of green tea. The palate is lively and fruity, juicy orange meeting fine-tart gunpowder tea and steady juniper, while the finish runs long, tangy and gently spiced. Pour over ice with tonic and a curl of fresh orange zest, or build it into a citrus gin spritz.
