Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin (Gift Box)

Drumshanbo Gunpowder is made at The Shed Distillery in the west of Ireland, and its calling card is gunpowder tea, the rolled Chinese green tea that lends a slow, smoky note found in few other gins. Around the traditional juniper, coriander, angelica root and cardamom sit a more far-flung crew of lemongrass, grapefruit, orange and lime peel and star anise. Slow distillation in copper stills gives it a clean, silky body. This set pairs the bottle with a glass made for it.

The nose is fresh citrus with spicy juniper, herbs and a wisp of tea. The palate balances lively citrus, fine spice and that subtle smoky tea note, the finish long and smooth with herbal warmth lingering.
