The 2024 Cuatro Barriles from Redbreast's Iberian Series, a single pot still whiskey built on four cask types. Triple distilled at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork and released without an age statement, a wider run of 28,000 bottles for Ireland.
Ex-bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry, tawny port and European virgin oak each mark the spirit, whose mash of malted and unmalted barley carries the hallmark pot still spice. Together they bring cooked fruit, chocolate and a sherried, honeyed sweetness over vanilla and fresh orchard fruit. Bottled at 46%.
