Description
A single cask Redbreast from the All Sherry series, distilled at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork in 2001 and bottled at 16 Years Old in 2017 for Master of Malt. The benchmark of single pot still whiskey, drawn here from one first fill Oloroso sherry butt, cask 18829, in a run of 582 bottles.
Triple distilled from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, the pot still spirit brings pepper, clove and an oily texture. Sixteen years in first fill Oloroso lend cooked and dried fruit, a sherried sweetness and gentle oak. Bottled at cask strength without dilution, 60.2%.
