Description
A single cask expression of Redbreast, the benchmark single pot still range, distilled at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork in 2000 and bottled at 21 Years Old in 2022. Selected by La Maison du Whisky for an event release, it comes from a single first fill Oloroso sherry butt, cask 21285, with 546 bottles filled.
Triple distilled from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, it carries the oily, spicy weight that defines the style. Two decades in first fill Oloroso push it deep into sherried territory, with walnut, dried fig, raisin and a nutty richness over the pepper and clove of the pot still spirit. Bottled without dilution at cask strength, 58.7%.
