Description
Redbreast 27 Years Old, the cask strength apex of the core range, released in annual batches. This is Batch 5, triple distilled at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork and bottled at full strength from a marriage of ex-bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry butts and ruby port casks.
Twenty seven years give the single pot still spirit, mashed from malted and unmalted barley, a deep and layered character. The three cask types weave dark chocolate and dried fruit against fresh orchard fruit, with the peppery pot still spice held underneath. Bottled without dilution at cask strength, 54.6%.
