Description
The second batch of Redbreast 27 Years Old, the cask strength summit of the range, triple distilled at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork and released in 2019. It is drawn from a marriage of ex-bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry butts and ruby port casks.
Nearly three decades deepen the single pot still spirit, mashed from malted and unmalted barley for its oily, spicy grip. The long maturation brings nutty sherry, old wood and tobacco alongside fresh orchard fruit and a wisp of coal smoke. Bottled undiluted at cask strength, 53.5%.
