Redbreast 21 Years Old, the flagship age statement in the range that set the modern standard for single pot still whiskey. Triple distilled at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork, this European release from 2015 marries whiskey matured in ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks.
The pot still mash of malted and unmalted barley gives the peppery, oily texture at the heart of the style. Two decades in a mix of bourbon and Oloroso wood layer orchard fruit and vanilla against dried fig, walnut and Christmas cake spice, polished and full. Bottled at 46%.
