Description
This Redbreast 1999 single cask, number 30113, was distilled at Midleton and bottled by the distillery in 2023 at 22 years old, a run of 522 for the Irish market. Redbreast is the benchmark single pot still range from Midleton in East Cork, distilled from malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled for its peppery, creamy weight.
An Oloroso sherry finish shapes the aged spirit, adding dried fruit, walnut and dark chocolate over the pot still's oily core. Bottled at cask strength, 59.2%, it is deep and warming, twenty two years of maturation meeting the sherry's richness. As a single cask bottling it stands as its own expression of Midleton pot still.
