Description
This is Dingle's flagship single malt, the bottling that moved the Co. Kerry distillery from numbered small batches to a permanent core release. Triple distilled in small pot stills and matured in the distillery's coastal warehouses, this 2021 European release ran to 50,000 bottles, big by Dingle's standards yet still a fraction of what the major houses produce.
Maturation splits between ex-bourbon barrels and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, a pairing that gives the whiskey two voices, vanilla, honey and fresh orchard fruit from the American oak, chocolate, sherried fruit and new wood spice from the PX. Bottled at 46.3%, it is the clearest introduction to the maritime, honeyed style Dingle has built its reputation on.
