Description
The cask strength edition of Dingle's fourth small batch, 500 bottles released in 2019 for the Irish market at an undiluted 58.3%. It sits alongside the 30,000 bottle standard release as the concentrated version of the same vatting from the Co. Kerry distillery.
Bourbon, sherry and Port casks feed the recipe, and at full strength their contributions sharpen: fresh oak and vanilla from the bourbon wood, dried fruit and chocolate from the wine casks, all over the honeyed, triple distilled Dingle malt. The Atlantic climate of the peninsula keeps maturation gentle, so even undiluted the spirit stays rounded rather than raw, though it takes water happily.
