Description
A festival bottling from Dingle, released in 2021 for the 15th edition of the Whisky & Rum aan Zee festival on the Dutch coast. Just 300 bottles of the Co. Kerry single malt were drawn for the event, bottled at a cask strength 60.6%.
Pedro Ximenez sherry and bourbon casks share the maturation, and the pairing shows: chocolate, dried fruit and honey from the PX over the vanilla backbone of American oak. Triple distilled and undiluted, it carries serious heat at 60.6%, softened by the creamy malt underneath and the mild Atlantic maturation of the Dingle peninsula. Festival bottlings like this rarely travel far beyond the event itself, which makes surviving examples scarce.
