Dingle Single Malt Cask #Batch No. 3

The third small batch release of Dingle single malt, bottled in 2018 for the Irish market at 13,000 bottles. At the time the Co. Kerry distillery, running since 2012, was still bottling its earliest maturing stock, and the numbered batches were followed closely as the first evidence of what the new house could do.

Maturation combines bourbon barrels with Port casks. Vanilla leads, in the classic ex-bourbon manner, with a wash of red fruit sweetness from the Port wood behind it. Triple distilled and bottled at 46.5% without chill filtration, it is a young, clean, gently coastal malt in the emerging Dingle style, softened by the Atlantic air of the peninsula.
