Description
The sixth small batch of Dingle single malt, released in 2021 in an edition of 14,500 bottles, and the first of the numbered batches matured entirely in Tawny Port casks. The spirit is triple distilled on the small pots of the Co. Kerry distillery and aged on the Dingle peninsula facing the Atlantic.
Full term Port maturation, rather than a short finish, lets the wine soak deep: chocolate, cooked red fruit and raisined sweetness with an earthy, mossy note underneath. Bottled at 46.5%, it is the most wine driven of Dingle's numbered batches, with the house honey and fresh fruit still legible at the centre of all that Port influence.
