Description
The fifth of Dingle's single pot still releases carries Ireland's native whiskey style out of Co. Kerry in its widest edition to that point, 8,000 bottles for Europe, bottled in 2022 at 46.5%. The mash marries malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in the distillery's small pot stills.
Ex-bourbon casks supply vanilla and soft oak while the unmalted barley does the talking, green apple, black pepper and ginger over a creamy, faintly oily texture, with the fresh maritime lift that Dingle's coastal warehouses tend to leave. At 46.5% it is the approachable sibling of the cask strength edition, the same spirit at conversational volume, an easy introduction to what pot still whiskey means.
