Description
Dingle distilled this single malt in its small pot stills and let it sleep for a full ten years in ex-bourbon casks in the distillery's warehouses on the Co. Kerry coast, where the Atlantic keeps maturation cool and slow. Bottled in 2023 for the German market, the release ran to just 237 bottles, undiluted stock from one of the earliest of Ireland's revival distilleries.
Bourbon wood keeps the focus on the spirit, and the fresh fruit the whiskey leads with sits over vanilla, honey and soft barley sweetness in the house style, with the faint sea air note Dingle followers look for. At a cask strength of 58.1% it opens generously with water, ten year old triple distilled malt with nothing added and nothing hidden.
