A 5-year Worthy Park at 57% with a sherry finish, leaning on dried and red fruit, cherry and light funk over warm oak, a balanced, versatile pot-still Jamaican of good value.

Description
Special Cask Release No. 3 is a Worthy Park estate bottling with a sherry finish, drawn from 2013 distillate and released at five years old. Worthy Park is single-estate and 100% pot still, known for clean, precise, moderate-ester rum, and this release takes that polished base and lets a sherry cask add a layer of dried fruit and warmth.
Distilled on the Forsyths still from molasses, matured in ex-bourbon oak and finished in sherry wood, the second cask brings cherry and red-fruit character without smothering the estate's fruit-and-light-funk signature. The nose is sherry, cherry, red fruits and raisin; the palate carries dried fruit, sherry, ester and cherry, closing warm with oak and lingering cherry. Unsweetened and bottled at 57%, the sherry reads as a subtle accent rather than a takeover, and the proof gives it presence while staying approachable. A smart next step for explorers who already enjoy standard Worthy Park or other 50%-plus Jamaicans and want a touch more fruit and structure.
