Part of West Cork Distillers' Maritime range, this single malt is bottled at 46% from the independent distillery in Skibbereen, Co. Cork. It takes its character from Oloroso sherry casks supplied by Bodegas Baron in the south of Spain.
The Oloroso wood brings the classic sherried signature of dried fig, raisin and walnut, set against a fresh, hay like malt and a note of new oak. At 46% the whiskey has enough body to carry the sherry without losing the distillery's own bright, cereal driven spirit. It was released for the European market without an age statement.
