Description
This cask strength single malt was distilled and matured at West Cork Distillers in Skibbereen, Co. Cork, and drawn from a single cask numbered RC 1102. At four years old it is a young, punchy release, bottled at its full 54.7% for the German market in 2024.
The whiskey matures in first fill bourbon barrels before a finish in Panama rum casks, a combination that concentrates dried fruit, honey and a nutty sweetness alongside firm vanilla. Undiluted, it carries real weight and a warming grip, though West Cork's fresh, malt driven spirit keeps it lively rather than heavy. Its youth shows in the bright cereal note running underneath.
