This cask strength blend from West Cork Distillers, the independent distillery in Skibbereen, Co. Cork, is bottled undiluted at a full 62%. It carries no age statement and marries pot still or malt with lighter grain, released for the European market.
First fill bourbon and refill Irish whiskey casks shape the spirit, the fresh American oak giving vanilla, honey and a green, leafy lift over citrus and orchard fruit. At full strength the flavours arrive concentrated and warm, rewarding a drop of water to open the sweeter notes.
