This 7 Years Old is a single malt from West Cork Distillers, the independent distillery in Co. Cork that malts and distills its own spirit. It carries a seven year age statement and was bottled in 2022 for the European market.
Maturation ran across ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry oak, the bourbon giving vanilla, citrus and fresh fruit while the sherry adds dried fig, walnut and a leathery depth over the malt. Bottled at 46% without a heavy dilution, it keeps a fuller body and clearer oak.
