Description
Made at Warner Edwards' farm distillery in Harrington, this elderflower gin grew from a family story: it was inspired by Adele, the mother of co-founder Tom Warner, whose garden and cooking shaped its character. Over 300 hand-picked fresh elderflowers go into each bottle, set against a London Dry framework of juniper, coriander, angelica, cardamom, black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon and orange and lemon peel. The result is floral and elegant, and the recipe happens to be vegan-friendly too.
The nose is soft elderflower and lychee over fine juniper. The palate is fresh and gentle, citrus and elderflower lifted by subtle spice and a fine thread of vanilla, while the finish turns elegant and floral with cardamom, cinnamon and soft spice that lingers. Build it into a gin and tonic with a Mediterranean tonic, fresh mint and lemon zest to throw its floral and citrus notes into relief.
