Description
The Blender's Cut is the Two Stacks blend served the way the blending room tastes it, undiluted and unpolished. This 2020 European release was vatted from whiskey distilled at The Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk, Co. Louth, the independent giant whose spirit underpins much of modern Irish whiskey, and bottled at a full 65%.
Three cask types build the profile: virgin oak brings fresh vanilla pod and sawn wood spice, Ex-Bourbon adds toffee and coconut, and Ex-Oloroso sherry deepens everything with fig and walnut. At this strength the first sip is all heat and concentration, but water transforms it, unfolding orchard fruit, barley sugar and a long drying oak finish, a working document of how an Irish blend is put together.
