Description
The classic blend labeled Same Whiskey, Different Bottle due to a fire at the bottling facility causing a disruption and resulting shortage of the original glassware. It is a triple blend of all three Irish styles, pot still, malt and grain, triple distilled on one site at the modern Offaly distillery reopened in 2014 by William Grant & Sons.
Maturation runs in ex-bourbon casks, the source of the vanilla and light toffee that sit at the heart of the Tullamore style. Bottled at 40%, it stays soft and gentle, with green apple, orchard fruit and a clean, uncomplicated finish. This is the blend built for reach, at home in a glass with ice or in a long drink as much as neat.
