Description
Trojka is made by Diwisa Distillerie Willisau in central Switzerland, a long-running producer that builds this liqueur on its own clean, multi-distilled vodka. The PINK expression takes that neutral base spirit and refines it with fruity, lightly sweet flavouring, then reduces the whole thing to 17% so the alcohol steps back and the fruit leads. Keeping the vodka neutral matters here: with no grain character of its own to fight the flavouring, the strawberry and raspberry notes read cleanly, and the added sweetness rounds off the body into something soft rather than spirit-forward.
The nose is sweet and fruity, with red berries and a touch of citrus. The palate is light and refreshing, carrying strawberry and raspberry over a faint tropical edge, and the finish is soft and gently sweet with just a whisper of the vodka underneath. Because it is low in strength and already sweet, it shines in a tall Strawberry Spritz: 50ml Trojka Pink, top with chilled Prosecco and a short splash of soda over ice, with a couple of fresh raspberries dropped in to echo the berry flavouring.
