Description
Tipperary Boutique is a farm distillery in Co. Tipperary run by the Ahern family, bottling single malt at natural strength alongside its own barley to bottle spirit. This single cask was distilled in 2017 and drawn four years later from cask number 3474, a Rioja red wine cask that shaped the whiskey from fill to finish. Just one cask filled the run, released at full strength for the German market.
Full maturation in Spanish red wine oak pushes the profile toward red berry and dark plum, with a backbone of toasted malt and a light grip of tannin. At 50% and bottled without dilution, it holds a firm, fruit led weight typical of the distillery's natural strength approach, the sort of young single malt that leans on active wine oak rather than age for its colour and depth.
