Part of the Boutique Selection from Tipperary Boutique, this single cask 2008, cask 2008_007, is a 15 Years Old sourced Irish single malt from the Ahern family distillery in Co. Tipperary. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2023 for the German market, it was limited to 320 bottles.
Maturation in a sherry butt followed by a first fill ex-Rioja finish stacks dried fig, red berry and walnut over honeyed malt. Bottled at cask strength of 51.1% without dilution, it is deep and wine inflected, the casks working on older sourced stock selected and finished by the Tipperary bonding house.
