This single cask 2008, cask 2008_006, is a 15 Years Old sourced Irish single malt in the Boutique Selection from Tipperary Boutique, the Ahern family distillery in Co. Tipperary. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2023 for the German market, it is a single cask release.
A sherry butt maturation carries into first fill ex-Rioja and Port finishes, piling dark dried fruit, red berry and a cocoa edge over the malt's honey. Bottled at cask strength of 55.4% without dilution, it is rich and heavily wine influenced, older sourced stock shaped by the Tipperary bonder's layered cask work.
