Description
This single cask 2007, cask number 16670, is a 9 Years Old sourced Irish single malt bottled by Tipperary Boutique, the Ahern family distillery in Co. Tipperary. Distilled in 2007 and released in 2017 for the German market, it was a run of 300 bottles.
The malt matured first in an Oloroso sherry cask before a red wine finish, layering dried fruit and walnut over bright citrus and fresh orchard fruit. Bottled at full cask strength of 60.5% without dilution, it is intense and youthful, the sherry and wine casks shaping older sourced stock chosen and finished by the Tipperary bonder.
