Tierra Noble Tequila Reposado Cristalino

Tierra Noble Reposado Cristalino is a 100% Blue Weber tequila from Jalisco, made by the Herrera brothers at La Estacada in Mazamitla, the highest tequila distillery in the country. A cristalino is a rested tequila that has been charcoal filtered to strip the colour back to clear, so it carries barrel derived sweetness with the appearance of a blanco. This one starts from a reposado, oak rested for at least two months before filtration.
The nose is soft and fruity with sweet citrus orange and grapefruit, cooked agave honey, light vanilla and cocoa balanced against the wood. The palate confirms the nose, soft and balanced with a gentle cocoa note, fresh sweet fruit, peach and red fruits. Bottled at 40%, it shows the cristalino style honestly, aged then decolourised, lighter on oak grip than a standard reposado while keeping its sweet, rounded character.
