Description

The Whisky Agency Barbancourt 2004 Heads & Tails Canada is a single cask Barbancourt selected by The Whisky Agency, the German bottler known for its illustrated labels. It draws on the 2004 vintage from Barbancourt, Haiti's most celebrated cane juice distillery, at twelve years of age.

Barbancourt works from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice, agricole in spirit though the term belongs to the French islands, and double distils for a refined style. Aged in ex-bourbon oak and bottled unsweetened at cask strength, 49.2%, it should show a grassy cane core layered with vanilla, baking spice, cocoa and oak, dry and full-bodied. As a single cask at full proof it captures one barrel and rewards a drop of water.
