This single cask sits in The Irishman single malt line from Walsh Whiskey, finished in a cognac cask and bottled in 2019 at the company's Co. Carlow base. Cask number 2301 was released at cask strength as a run of 490 bottles, one cask of malt spirit given a French brandy finish.
The cognac cask lends a soft, vinous sweetness and dried fruit over the vanilla and honey of the malt, with a nutty richness building on the finish.
