Description
This Collaboration edition of Teeling Small Batch was bottled in 2024 for the French market, and the twist is in the finishing wood: casks that previously held French agricole rhum, the cane juice spirit of the French islands. The base is the Dublin house's blended Irish whiskey, first matured in Ex-Bourbon barrels.
Agricole casks read differently from molasses rum wood, greener and more aromatic, and the finish brings fresh cane, grassy herbs and tropical fruit over the blend's toffee and vanilla. The result stays light on its feet, built for highballs as happily as for neat pours. Bottled at 46%, it is a natural fit for the market it was made for, an Irish blend speaking a little French.
