One Oloroso sherry cask, number 76438, held this Teeling single pot still whiskey until 2025, when it was bottled undiluted at 61.6% for the German market. Triple distilled at the Newmarket distillery in Dublin from the traditional mash of malted and unmalted barley, it pairs Ireland's own whiskey style with the classic Spanish accent cask, one cask and one market only.
Full sherry maturation drives dried fig, raisin, walnut and dark chocolate deep into the spirit, meeting the peppery, gingery prickle and creamy, oily texture the unmalted barley provides. At cask strength it is intense and concentrated, softening with water into barley sugar and baked orchard fruit, a single cask pot still whiskey in the richest register Teeling offers.
