Teeling's Small Batch Collaboration series pairs the Dublin distillery with independent Irish producers, and this edition worked with DOT Brew, the small Dublin brewery whose porter casks finished the whiskey. It is a blended Irish whiskey, first matured in Ex-Bourbon barrels and released for Europe in 2022. Beer cask finishes have become a modern Irish signature, and Teeling was among the earliest to make them a running series.
Porter casks bring what dark beer wood always promises, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and a malty depth, layered here over the blend's vanilla, fresh fruit and new wood notes. Bottled at 46%, it is a beer lover's whiskey in the best sense, the roast and the fruit trading places sip by sip.
