Description
Distilled in 2017 at Teeling's Newmarket site in Dublin and bottled in 2025, this 8 Years Old single malt took its entire maturation in acacia wood, one of the alternative timbers the distillery's Single Cask programme likes to explore. Cask #77572 yielded 258 bottles for the Netherlands.
Acacia gives whiskey a different vocabulary from oak, resinous spice, dried herbs and floral honey in place of vanilla and coconut, and eight full years in the wood have written it deeply into the triple distilled Dublin malt. Bottled at a cask strength 59.7%, it keeps orchard fruit at its centre with the acacia's aromatic edge all around it.
