Whisky.de, the long running German retailer, selected cask #77567 from Teeling's warehouse: a 2017 vintage single malt, triple distilled at the Newmarket distillery in Dublin and matured for eight years entirely in acacia wood. It was bottled in 2025 as an event release.
Full acacia maturation is a rare sight, trading oak's vanilla for resinous spice, dried herbs and a floral honey sweetness that sits well over Teeling's fruity house spirit. Bottled at a cask strength 59.8%, one cask and nothing added, it pairs an adventurous Dublin cask with a German bottler's eye, the kind of pairing Teeling's single cask work was built for.
