Description
Rising Reserve carries the oldest stock in the Teeling range, and this fourth release is a 21 Years Old single malt bottled in 2025. The Newmarket distillery in Dublin's Liberties only fired its stills in 2015, the first new distillery in the city for 125 years, so malt of this age comes from the deep reserves the Teeling family sourced and has minded ever since, chosen cask by cask for the label.
Maturation ran through ex-bourbon barrels and French white wine casks, the bourbon wood laying down vanilla and soft orchard fruit while the wine casks sharpen it with candied citrus and a late curl of chocolate. Bottled at 46% without chill filtration and limited to 6,000 bottles worldwide, it shows how gently two decades of oak can settle over Irish malt.
