Description
Rising Reserve is Teeling's line of milestone releases, and this second edition presents a 21 Years Old single malt from the Dublin house's deepest inventory, stock laid down by the Teeling family long before their Newmarket site brought distilling back to the city in 2015. Released worldwide in 2023, it is limited to 6,000 bottles.
The whiskey spent its long life in Ex-Bourbon barrels before a finishing period in Marsala casks from Sicily. The bourbon wood built the honey, vanilla and soft orchard fruit at its core, while the Marsala folds in raisined sweetness, hazelnut and a fragrant, perfumed lift. Bottled at 46%, it drinks as an old Irish malt should, gentle in texture with its fruit still bright.
