Description
Single cask #29601 is a 14 Years Old malt from Teeling's aged reserves, stock laid down years before the family's Newmarket distillery fired its stills in 2015. It was bottled in 2023 for the German market, matured first in Ex-Bourbon barrels and carried through a sherry cask finish.
The Oloroso influence brings walnut, dried fruit and a savoury depth to the honeyed malt and orchard fruit built by fourteen years in bourbon wood, with polished oak holding the frame. Bottled at a natural 56.7% straight from the cask, it is classic sherried Irish malt with the weight of real age behind it, released one cask at a time through the Single Cask programme.
