Teeling marks each anniversary of its Newmarket distillery with a Birthday Batch, and the eleventh, released for Ireland in 2026, is a marriage of two whiskeys rather than one: a single pot still and a single malt, each drawn from Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and blended together. Just 500 bottles were filled.
The PX seasoning runs through both components, so fig, raisin and dark chocolate arrive in force, with the pot still contributing its peppery, gingery spice and oily weight and the malt bringing orchard fruit and honey underneath. Bottled at a cask strength 51.1%, it is a birthday pour that shows both sides of what the Dublin distillery now makes.
