Earthy and herb-driven, with lovage lending a savoury, celery-like depth over a dominant juniper base, pepper and a fresh citrus edge. Drawn from a 19th-century Tanqueray recipe and reworked with bartender Jason Crowley, this limited release trades sweetness for spice. Full-bodied, intense and built for stirred drinks.

Description
This limited Tanqueray reaches back to an original recipe from Charles Tanqueray's 19th-century notebooks, reinterpreted with bartender Jason Crowley and bottled at a generous 47.3% in a full litre. The defining touch is lovage, the old herb-garden plant whose earthy, almost savoury character gives this gin a depth that sets it apart from the brand's other releases, alongside the usual juniper, coriander and angelica.
The nose is strongly herbal, a dominant juniper note paired with lovage, coriander and a subtle citrus lift. The palate is full-bodied and complex, that firm juniper base met by earthy herbal notes and a peppery spice, with fresh citrus keeping it in balance. The finish is long, intense and spiced. Pour it into a tart G&T with an Indian or herbal tonic and garnish, unusually, with fresh celery or parsley to chase the lovage.
