St. Kilian Distillers Single Malt Whisky Liqueur, the Kolonat's Choice edition, comes from St. Kilian Distillers, the German single malt distillery in Ruedenau that works across more than 170 cask types for its signature editions. It is a whisky liqueur built on single malt made from 100% barley malt, which gives the liqueur its characteristic mildness while keeping a clear whisky character, bottled at 30%.

The nose is vanilla, coconut and cinnamon, the palate vanilla and cinnamon buns with coconut and orange peel, the finish long with vanilla sugar. The cask influence shows in the oak and warm baking spice, while the single malt base keeps it soft and rounded. For a buyer this sits between a whisky and a liqueur: it brings a sweetened, spiced whisky character that adds vanilla, oak and cinnamon depth to a drink without the sharp edge of a neat spirit. Best enjoyed neat or in cocktails, it works in stirred and warm serves where a soft, oak and spice led whisky note is wanted.
