Schlumberger Rosé Ice Secco

Schlumberger has made sparkling wine in Austria since 1842, and Rosé Ice is its pink Secco built for pouring over ice. The blend of blue grapes, Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt, is fermented and matured in stainless steel tank, which gives the wine its bright rosé colour and keeps the red fruit fresh. The light sparkle comes in a tank based Secco style, and the finish is left fruity and off dry to suit relaxed summer drinking.

The colour is a delicate salmon pink with a fine, long lasting bead. The nose shows red berries, strawberry and raspberry with a hint of peach and a floral edge. On the palate it is fresh and lively, a pleasant fruity sweetness balanced by fine acidity, the finish light and refreshing. Serve well chilled, best over ice and refined with fresh berries or mint. It suits light starters, summer salads and fruity desserts, and works as a base for spritz and cocktail variations.
