This Sea Wynde tribute from Rumclub Private Selection, bottled by Spirit of Rum, blends two classic origins, high ester pot still rum from Jamaica's Worthy Park and the storied Port Mourant double wooden pot still from Guyana. Bottled at seventeen years and full proof 48.1% with a port cask influence, it pays homage to a well loved cross island style.

Worthy Park, which draws its esters from fermentation alone, lends creamy fruit and gentle funk, while Port Mourant brings the aniseed and woody depth that marks its distillate. The nose is esterified and tropical with anise and a funky edge, the palate turns woody, toasted and creamy with fruit, and the finish carries vanilla, coffee and a dry, roasted note. The port cask rounds it with toffee. It strikes a comfortable middle ground between character and ease, a relaxed evening sipper rather than an overproof challenge.
