Distilled on column stills from molasses and aged over twelve years in Ex-Bourbon, it is a brut de fut style Hispanic rum: dry and woody on the nose with chocolate and a toasted edge, then dry and intense across the palate with caramel and oak, finishing woody and chocolatey with a touch of sweetness from the wood rather than added sugar.
