Redbreast 21 Year Old is one of the standout offerings in the Redbreast lineup, second in age only to the Redbreast 27. Like its younger siblings, it is a single pot still whiskey made from malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled at Midleton Distillery. What distinguishes the 21 Year Old is its two-decade-long maturation, which occurs in ex-bourbon barrels and first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
This whiskey combines light, medium, and heavy pot still distillates, producing a full-bodied whiskey with flavors of tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple, alongside more traditional notes of dried fruit, oak, and spice.
