Padre Azul Tequila Blanco, Reposado, Añejo Tasting Set (3 x 50ml)

This Padre Azul tasting set pairs Blanco, Reposado and Añejo in three 50 ml miniatures, scaled down versions of the brand's striking flagship bottle. Padre Azul was created by Austrian founder Hans Peter Eder in partnership with his father in law and a team of master distillers from Jalisco, and every expression is made from 100% blue agave. Production is based in the Amatitán valley in the lowlands of the state.
The set is as much about the object as the liquid, with each hand finished bottle carrying a heavy skull stopper and a hand laced leather sleeve. Tasted in sequence, the blanco shows clear cooked agave with citrus and pepper, the reposado softens into vanilla and honey from a spell in oak, and the añejo deepens toward vanilla, caramel and toasted oak as maturation takes hold. Bottled at 40%, the trio offers a compact tour from unaged agave through to the oak driven end of the range.
