Description
Padre Azul is a 100% Blue Weber tequila built around the Amatitan valley in Jalisco, the lowland Valles country northwest of Guadalajara, with roots in Austrian founder Hans Peter Eder and a team of master distillers from Jalisco. This set gathers the Blanco, the Reposado and the Anejo, each in a 1.75 litre magnum and each topped with the heavy skull stopper and hand laced leather sleeve that define the brand on a shelf.
All three are drawn from the same lowland agave and bottled at 40%, so the set reads as one house style moving through oak. The Blanco shows cooked agave, lime and a peppery valley edge. The Reposado rests in oak long enough to fold in honey and gentle vanilla over the agave core. The Anejo carries at least a year in oak, pushing caramel, toffee and toasted wood forward while the agave settles into the mid palate.
